18k yellow gold Herkimer diamond engagement ring

This distinctive yet impressive solitaire 18k solid yellow gold ring features a raw Herkimer diamond crystal that measures approximately 1x0.7 cm.

This ring is made to order so you will not receive the stone pictured, but a similar one.

⚫What is the Herkimer Diamond?
The Herkimer Diamond is a natural Quartz crystal discovered in dolostone in and around Herkimer County, New York and Mohawk River Valley. The Native American tribe of the Mohwak people originated in this area and are known as "The People of the Crystals." It is naturally faceted and usually double-terminated. Some crystals have black natural spots (anthraxolite inclusions) and some are crystal cleal.
It is a potent high crystal energy stone, that helps in meditation and your auric field.

For this ring i use 18k solid yellow gold: 1mm round wire for the prong setting and 1mm round wire for the shank that i flatten (width 2.5mm) and hammer for a more interesting look. The shank is elegantly dainty but very sturdy and durable.

The sterling silver and gold i use are 100% recycled.

I chose a rather black herkimer diamond with some parts clear for this piece because the combination of rich gold, black and clystal clear is gorgeous and creates a great contrast that makes the ring stand out.
